Fit for big men

I bought this as I needed a new jacket with the ability to use in 3 seasons. My concern was size,I'm 6.1 300 lb. The AI said 3x but the size chart is what I would go buy. As my chest is 56inchs. I wear 4x shirts normally. After trying in the jacket 3x would probably fit. But the jacket runs more true to size. 4x very comfortable with both layers with room to move and sit comfortably while zipped. I think the 3 x might not have worked as well. So just putting that out there for the big guys.
