Perfect for the cold

Pretty is a decent jacket. I wouldn't say it would be warm enough for -40 days, maybe not even -20. Also the hood can't be tightened around your face so I find it constantly slips off of my head. I am not sure if I will keep it or not quite yet. It looks cute but I am not sure if it functions how I am wanting.

Great purchase!

I love this coat. Hood is removable (attached with snaps), very easy to take off and put back on. There is an inside pocket around the chest area to keep small items safe, and the pockets on the outside might be my favorite of all the Columbia coats and jackets I have bought. They are very roomy and can fit a pair of gloves and things like my phone and there is a zippered inside pocket. I love this because my gloves and phone are easy access and I don't have to unzip anything, but the zippered compartment keeps things like my keys, lip balm, and earbuds safe from slipping out (see pictures). I am 5'5" about 160-165 lbs. and I ordered the large size, I will say this one might run slightly larger than other coats because my other Columbia coats I have are also size large but not as baggy as this one. I could have bought the medium, but I wanted a larger / roomy fit so I can wear sweaters and be comfortable. The coat does have an elastic for cinching at the waist, but I don't care for it, so I just wear the coat as is.
