So much better than my 10 year old model!

This is a great jacket! I bought this model about 10 years ago and I finally decided to upgrade. The fit is roomier, the length is longer, the insulation is better. I am so pleased with it! I find myself hoping for cold weather just so I can wear it! Front pockets are enormous! Easy to store gloves and/or mittens. Hood covers the whole head and is insulated. I can really zip up and keep warm in this coat. 10 out of 10!

Zipper quality severely lacking

Return two of these because of the quality of the zipper. I don't know what Columbia is trying to do, but this should be a piece of gear that's designed for active, very active outdoor use in adverse conditions. The zipper was not much better than what you find on a pair of dress pants. Very disappointed in the quality of Columbia gear. However they offer the best sizing options of any company that I'm aware of. So Columbia get your act together and use better zippers and some better design in your clothing. Make it durable and quit cutting corners you stupid elastic cuffs. Quit trying to save pennies in the construction of your gear to stupid money grab way to think. Consumers are tired of getting ripped off. Start constructing your stuff properly, maybe you want to pull some of that back into the US you can get some quality gear out.
